Michael Appleby | SBEPG President and Director
Michael Appleby is the President and a Director of SBEPG and is a passionate advocate for advancing public awareness on the role that the environment plays in overall community health and quality of life. After a career in the US municipal debt markets and more recently in renewable energy, Michael brings broad perspective on sustainable development to the Board. Michael and his wife Kim are year round residents of Bracebridge.

Lisa Cumber | SBEPG Treasurer and Director
​Lisa, along with her husband Alan own and operate an independent franchise business in Bracebridge.  She is a proud supporter of the hospitals in the Muskoka community as well as for the Ronald McDonald House.  Creating awareness of our amazing ecotone called “the land between” found only here in Muskoka and parts of Ontario is paramount to preserve and protect this biodiversity of our wetlands, forests, flora and fauna species and our natural heritage for generations to come.

Wendy Nicholson | SBEPG Director 
Wendy works in the education sector and is proud to call Muskoka her home with its beautiful landscapes and pristine waterways. Wendy feels passionately about preserving Muskoka forests and wetlands for generations to come.

Tom Tutsch | SBEPG Director
Tom is currently retired, after spending a career in financial services, first as an investment banker, then in private equity and finally pension fund management holding every position from bag carrier to CEO and Chair. During the last 40 years, Tom has been on over 20 boards of directors in the business and not for profit sectors in both Canada and the US. Tom was a director at the Bishop Strachan School (BSS) for approximately 15 years, where he chaired or sat on almost every board committee. BSS is a Toronto Girls school, serving both boarders and day students from Canada and around the world. Tom is excited to work with the South Bracebridge Environmental Protection Group.   He and his family have volunteered for many different things in Muskoka. Over 20 years ago they worked with Russ Black to create the Nature Reserve on McVittie Island.
